Water Quality: Swimming Area
Water samples are periodically tested by Oakland County Health Division. Each time, three areas are sampled within the swimming area. The average reading level of E. coli across these 3 sampled locations should be below 300 CFU/100mL for safe swimming.
Test Results: click here and search for “Pine Lake Estates Beach” in the search bar. **Be sure to un-check “Closures and Advisories Only” and “Public Beaches” (since ours is a private beach).
In the event of high bacteria reading, the Oakland County Health Department will shut down our beach temporarily. OCHD representatives will come to re-test the water, and will re-open the swimming area when test levels return to normal. PLEBA will alert members via email ASAP if we hear that this happens.
